James Washington, Managing Director
James began his financial career as a worksite benefits consultant with a major financial institution in 2008, enrolling individuals in worksite benefits. In 2011, he joined State Farm and developed a broad understanding of the insurance industry. Among his clients, he counts well-known names from the New Orleans Saints, popular jazz musicians, MMA fighters, physicians, attorneys and other professionals.
As James honed his problem-solving acumen, he discovered that insurance was not the primary challenge facing his clients. Their number one problem: Taxes!
With several years of experience and business relationships throughout New Orleans, James launched his tax planning practice in 2018. Rather than trying to master every technical detail himself, James partnered with Scott Fedyshyn to delive tax savings of around 50% almost 100% of the time for successful business owners.
James is passionate about his work because it's helping his clients live the life they deserve.
James mentors youth through the Take The Lead foundation. He and his wife Joyce enjoy watching The Walking Dead and spending time as a family. Their son just started at LSU (Geaux Tigers). James is an avid basketball and tennis player, and enjoys pick-up games as well as family matches.
